Dr. J. Davison Shillingford - Member

J. Davison Shillingford     Dave Shillingford was born in Roseau, Dominica. He attended the Dominica Grammar School and graduated with a Grade 1 in the Cambridge School Certificate Exam. He won a Dominica scholarship to attend UWI in Trinidad, graduating with Honors in Agricultural Economics.
He then worked as Land Use Officer in the Dominica Department of Agriculture. Subsequently, Dave won an assistantship to study Resource Economics and Planning at Cornell University, NY, from which he graduated with the MS and PhD degrees. He then worked at CARICOM in Guyana, doing food demand forecasting, before moving to the US. He taught at Pace University in NYC then took a position in auto forecasting with General Motors, from which he recently retired as Manager, Truck Competitor Analysis, North American Operations. Dave is a member of the US Association of Auto Analysts, is active in his local community association, and takes a keen interest in West Indian economic affairs. He is married and has three children.
