DBS Diaspora Link-up
This project was suggested by DAAS member and member of the Reunion08 Committee, Ophelia Marie, Dominica's Lady of Song. The objective of the programme is to bring Dominicans at home and overseas together to share their common aspirations for their homeland.
The National Reunion Committee has promoted the main theme as "Celebrating the Journey Together" and has identified monthly sub-themes around which meaningful discussions can be held.
DBS Radio has agreed to partner with DAAS and other local and Diaspora organizations to hold regular networking dialogue on Wednesdays twice per month, from 9 to 11 p.m. for the duration of the Reunion Year.
The first broadcast took place on Wednesday, 20th. February with guest, Dr. Clayton Shillingford, President of the Dominica Academy of Arts and Sciences (DAAS) and anchored by Alex Bruno.
