Fundraising Programme Objectives
The Dominica Academy of Arts and Sciences (DAAS) is a non-profit organization registered in the USA, Tax ID# 26-0019011. Our mission is simply to mobilize our qualified sons and daughters, at home and abroad, to use their talents to assist in the economic recovery and sustainability of our country. For the most part, our members, of which there are over 350 registered, volunteer their services as a way of giving back what Dominica has given them.
Such work cannot be done without the occasional expenditure of funds, usually from members personal financing. This source of funding our expanding orgainization cannot be relied upon if the Academy is to achieve its lofty mission. Therefore, DAAS must find alternative ways to raise funds.
Fundraising Projects
Current projects include:
- Membership Dues and friendly donations
- Sale of DAAS Products
- Advertising Partners
- Writers Advertising Programme.
Members are encouraged to submit other workable, fundraising ideas.
